Responsible for driving sales and business development for air freight services. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, growing wallet share of existing accounts, and working closely with operations and pricing teams to provide competitive solutions.


Responsibilities
  • Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for air freight services (exports/imports, outbound/inbound).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, shippers, consignees, and airline partners.
  • Sales Target Achievement
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations to secure new businesses.
  • Account Management
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular engagement and upselling of value-added services (e.g., customs clearance, warehousing, cold chain air freight).
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve service issues in coordination with operations.
  • Market Intelligence & Pricing
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and airline rates to stay competitive.
  • Coordinate with the pricing and procurement teams to secure competitive air freight rates.
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and customer invoicing.
  • Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer profiles, and pipeline updates in CRM systems (like Salesforce, Zoho CRM).
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in air freight forwarding sales (export/import) in Singapore.
  • Good network with shippers, consignees, and airlines (Changi air cargo hub experience is a plus).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and air cargo documentation.
