Must be well versed in all types of aircon service, with jet wash experience considered an advantage.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out repair and routine maintenance duties on equipment, building facilities, offices, building systems, grounds, and structures.
- Coordinating efforts with contracted HVAC vendors to ensure optimal functioning of HVAC systems.
- Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing air conditioning systems, including D.D.C. building control, pneumatic systems, cooling systems, refrigerators, ice machines, refrigerated water coolers, and similar equipment.
- Performing maintenance checks on HVAC systems, cleaning components, lubricating bearings, and replacing motors, electrical wiring, belts, compressors, thermostats, fans, and timers.
- Adjusting airflow controls, cleaning and replacing filters, repairing fans and towers, and adding chemicals to water towers to prevent corrosion.
- Monitoring equipment operation through gauges and instruments, adjusting mechanisms, charging refrigerants, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Overhauling refrigeration units, repairing or replacing parts, inspecting refrigerant levels, and maintaining related equipment.
- Repairing piping, valves, and fittings using various tools and techniques.
- Servicing pumps and motors, replacing bearings, shafts, and calibrating controls.
- Assisting in planning installation and modification projects, and preparing specifications and blueprints.
- Ordering parts, performing repairs, and maintaining service records.
- Supporting colleagues in maintenance activities.
- Performing minor electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, and carpentry work.
- Assisting in restructuring and re-mounting office spaces and furniture.
- Providing support during after-hours emergencies and company functions.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
