Job summary

Temus seeks a senior leader to drive the operating engine of an enterprise AI transformation, serving as the bridge between business value and technology. You will translate organizational goals into a prioritized, governed portfolio of AI initiatives and track progress at the portfolio level.

Job description

You will run the operating engine of an enterprise AI transformation. This is not a solution-architect seat and it is not a delivery-PM seat. You are the bridge between the business and the technology - translating where the organization wants to create value into a prioritized, tracked, and governed portfolio of AI initiatives, and translating what the technology can actually do back into terms senior leadership can decide on.

You will operate at senior stakeholder altitude. Comfort influencing executives and functional heads without formal authority is the job, not a nice-to-have.

What you'll own

• Portfolio oversight across the AI initiative landscape - surfacing org-wide priorities, pressure-testing business cases, and making the prioritization call defensible when initiatives compete for the same capital, data, and talent.
• The tracking and monitoring rhythm - what's on plan, what's slipping, what's stuck, and what needs to escape. You run the cadence; you don't wait for status decks to arrive.
• The business–technology interface - sitting credibly on both sides of the table with business sponsors and with platform/data/engineering teams.
• Senior stakeholder management - briefing, aligning, and occasionally disagreeing with very senior stakeholders, and doing it in a way that builds trust rather than spends it.

What you must bring

• 12+ years of experience minimum, with a management consulting foundation. MBB background strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on exposure to AI and enterprise technology. You do not need to write production code, but you must be conversant - not superficially - in the major platforms (e.g., Databricks), the hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP), and the current AI platform landscape.
• Genuine fluency in data. Data readiness is the gating constraint on almost every AI initiative; a candidate who treats data as someone else’s problem is disqualifying for this seat.
• A demonstrated track record of surfacing enterprise‑wide priorities and running portfolio‑level prioritization - not just delivering a single workstream.
• Executive presence with senior stakeholders. Evidence they’ve influenced at the C‑suite level, not just presented to it.

Signals of a strong fit

• Has sat in the ambiguity between “the business wants outcomes” and “the technology has constraints” and made the tradeoff call.
• Can hold a portfolio view and a single‑initiative view in the same conversation.
• Prioritizes ruthlessly and can explain the logic when someone senior pushes back.
