Job summary

Allen & Gledhill LLP is seeking an AI Team Lead to direct strategic AI initiatives and oversee deployment, governance, and compliance across the firm's IT landscape. You will bridge legal practice needs with innovative AI capabilities, lead a team of AI engineers, and manage vendor relationships to deliver scalable solutions.

Reporting to the Head or Deputy Head of Information Services, you will drive ethical AI usage, data privacy, and regulatory alignment while shaping the firm's AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in CS, AI, Data Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years IT leadership experience, with 2+ years managing AI/ML teams.
• Deep understanding of ML, NLP, LLMs and Generative AI; production experience.
• Experience in legal tech or professional services is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the firm's AI roadmap and high-value use cases.
• Lead AI engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
• Establish governance, privacy, bias mitigation, and security policies.
• Bridge IT with Partners and practice groups to translate needs into AI solutions.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party AI vendors and providers.
• Oversee AI infrastructure architecture, on-premise and cloud deployments.
