Job summary

Barnes Aerospace Singapore is seeking an AI Solutions Lead to oversee and drive the AI roadmap across Smart Factory, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering & NPI, and Commercial functions. You will identify high-value AI opportunities, translate business needs into scalable solutions, and ensure measurable business impact with governance, security and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in AI/data science and strong ability to lead projects from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, AI, or digital transformation.
• Proven ability to lead AI or analytics projects from concept to production.
• Strong communication and influence with executives and shop-floor staff.
• Preferred qualifications: Aerospace, MRO, Industry 4.0 exposure; cloud/AI certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the AI roadmap and use-case portfolio.
• Identify and prioritise AI opportunities across Smart Factory, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering & NPI, and Commercial functions.
• Prepare business cases for AI initiatives, including investment requirements, expected benefits and ROI.
• Track and report the value and ROI delivered from AI initiatives.
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures, including standards, data flows, integrations and deployment plan.
• Establish standards to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure and fit for business use.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five AI Engineers.
• Establish and manage AI governance covering security, ITAR/EAR and AS9100 requirements.
• Work with BU leaders, IT, Quality and domain champions to ensure adoption of AI solutions.
• Manage technology partners, vendors and the AI budget.

Barnes Aerospace is seeking AI Solutions Lead to oversee and lead the AI team in Singapore. This role will define and deliver the AI roadmap across Smart Factory, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering & NPI, and Commercial functions. The role will identify high-value AI opportunities, translate business needs into scalable solutions, and ensure measurable business impact while maintaining appropriate governance, security and compliance standards.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the AI roadmap and use-case portfolio in partnership with Business Unit leaders.
• Identify, assess and prioritise AI opportunities across Smart Factory, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering & NPI, and Commercial functions.
• Prepare business cases for AI initiatives, including investment requirements, expected benefits and return on investment.
• Track and report the value and ROI delivered from AI initiatives.
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures, including technical standards, data flows, integrations and deployment approach.
• Establish standards to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure and fit for business use.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five AI Engineers.
• Establish and manage AI governance covering security, responsible use, ITAR/EAR and AS9100 requirements.
• Work closely with Business Unit leaders, IT teams, Quality and domain champions to ensure successful adoption of AI solutions.
• Manage technology partners, vendors and the AI budget.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in data science, artificial intelligence, digital transformation or technology solution delivery.
• Proven experience leading at least one AI or analytics project from concept through to production implementation.
• Working knowledge of ERP, MES and PLM systems.
• Strong ability to communicate and influence effectively with both senior executives and shop-floor employees.
• Demonstrated ability to build business cases, quantify business value and monitor ROI.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder-management and project-delivery skills.
• Experience leading, developing or mentoring technical team members.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace, MRO or discrete-manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Smart Factory or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Cloud, AI or solution architecture certification.
