Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior AI Solution Architect to drive the company’s AI enabling agenda. You will lead the AI R&D team, anchor presales, and architect GenAI/LLM solutions integrated with web/mobile stacks, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective deployments.

Responsibilities include defining AI roadmaps, delivering production-grade architectures, and guiding teams through implementation while complying with PDPA and public-sector standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT industry experience with 3+ years in architecting/delivering AI/ML/GenAI solutions.
• Hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions and using AI coding agents such as Claude Code.
• Experience leading a technical or R&D team.

Responsibilities

What will you do?

The AI Solution Architect drives the company’s AI enabling agenda. Reporting to the Associate Delivery Director, the role leads the AI R&D team, anchors AI presales solutioning, and is accountable for the architecture and delivery of AI pioneering projects. The role translates business requirements into secure, scalable and cost‑effective AI solution architectures spanning GenAI/LLM applications, machine learning and intelligent automation, integrated with modern web and mobile application stacks. It sets architecture standards and responsible‑AI practices, builds internal AI capability, and guides teams from concept through implementation, ensuring solutions meet client and public‑sector compliance expectations.

• Drive company‑wide AI enabling: define the AI technology roadmap, identify use cases across business units, and build reusable reference architectures, accelerators and internal AI capability.
• Lead the AI R&D team: set research direction, prioritize experiments and PoCs, and translate promising outcomes into deliverable solutions and offerings.
• Anchor AI presales: solution concepts, architecture proposals, effort estimation, PoCs, demos and tender responses for AI opportunities.
• Drive delivery of AI pioneering projects from concept through production, ensuring quality, schedule and compliance expectations are met.
• Design end‑to‑end architectures for AI‑enabled solutions, including GenAI/LLM applications (RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering), ML models and intelligent automation.
• Evaluate and select AI platforms, models and services (e.g. Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, open‑source LLMs) balancing capability, cost, security and data‑residency requirements.
• Establish responsible‑AI and data governance practices, including security, PDPA and public‑sector (e.g. IM8) compliance for AI workloads.
• Guide and upskill delivery teams on AI architecture patterns and best practices; review designs and implementations; advise management and clients on emerging AI technologies.

Domain Skills

• Solution architecture for AI/ML systems: GenAI/LLM applications, RAG pipelines, vector databases, agentic frameworks, MLOps.
• Agentic AI design and development: multi‑agent architectures, tool use / function calling, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and AI coding agents such as Claude Code.
• Cloud platforms and AI services (Azure, AWS, GCP), including cost and capacity planning for AI workloads.
• Application architecture: web/mobile stacks (e.g. ReactJS, React Native, Node.js), microservices, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL/MSSQL.
• Data engineering fundamentals: data pipelines, embeddings, data quality and governance.
• Security and compliance for AI solutions, including responsible‑AI practices and Singapore public‑sector requirements (e.g. IM8, PDPA).

Non‑Domain Skills

• Leadership of R&D/technical teams; mentoring and capability building.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and clients.
• Consultative mindset with presales and client‑engagement capability.
• Analytical problem solving and pragmatic decision making under ambiguity.

Education and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Cloud architecture certification (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional); AI/ML specialty certification (e.g. Azure AI Engineer, AWS ML Specialty); TOGAF.

Working Experience

• Min. 10 years of IT industry experience, including 3+ years architecting or delivering AI/ML or GenAI solutions in production; hands‑on experience building agentic AI solutions and working with AI coding agents such as Claude Code; and experience leading a technical or R&D team.
• Desirable: Singapore public‑sector project experience; presales solutioning and tender‑response experience; hands‑on experience with LLM application frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex) and MLOps tooling.
