Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer (AI) to develop secure, scalable digital services powered by modern search and Generative AI. You will join an experienced team to build reliable solutions and improve performance and quality.

You will contribute to design and development, implement features with LLMs, RAG, semantic search, and vector databases, and participate in testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices while collaborating with product and design teams.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience developing and maintaining web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, plus cloud platforms, SQL or NoSQL databases, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience building or contributing to search systems, semantic or vector search, or RAG solutions.
• Experience integrating LLMs into applications, ideally in a production environment.
• Understanding of AI evaluation, responsible AI, security and data governance.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical ideas to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of secure, scalable search and AI-powered applications.
• Help build features using LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search and vector databases.
• Support the evaluation and monitoring of AI solutions, including data governance and security considerations.
• Work with the team to balance performance, cost, reliability and accuracy.
• Write and maintain automated tests, and contribute to CI/CD, DevOps and code quality improvements.
• Collaborate with product, design and delivery teams to understand requirements and resolve technical challenges.
• Take part in technical discussions, code reviews and continuous improvement activities.
