Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme is seeking an AI Security Architect to lead secure-by-design initiatives across the AI lifecycle, including foundation models and generative AI capabilities. You will partner with business, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure security by design and compliance with enterprise standards.

You will drive threat modeling, develop security controls for AI-specific threats, and guide architectural decisions to mitigate risk while enabling secure AI adoption

Qualifications

• 6+ years in cybersecurity, security architecture, cloud security, or related fields.
• 2+ years designing or securing AI, ML, or gen AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AI security concepts and threat landscape.
• Experience with cloud providers and AI services.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise AI security reference architectures, standards, and design patterns.
• Support security reviews and risk assessments for AI systems and platforms.
• Design security controls for AI-specific threats and risks.
• Partner with solution architects and product teams to embed secure-by-design principles.
• Drive threat modeling and identify security requirements for AI solutions.
• Promote AI security best practices through architecture guidance and training.
• Track AI threat trends and translate insights into roadmaps.
