Job summary

SAP Labs Singapore is hiring for an applied AI/ML role focused on building and deploying machine learning models for Document AI. You will work with AI scientists, data engineers, DevOps, and architects to tackle real challenges in document understanding and model deployment.

You will contribute to shaping ML solutions, from training to production, using OCR, layout analysis, and NLP/vision techniques, in a cloud-based environment. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Solid grounding in ML fundamentals and MLOps practices.
• Experience with deep learning model training, prompt engineering, or LLM fine-tuning.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional programming language.
• Ability to work with annotated data and contribute to model evaluation and optimisation.
• Comfortable working within Agile or Scrum team environments.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate ML models for document extraction, OCR, and layout analysis.
• Build and maintain scalable training pipelines for document processing workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineers on annotated datasets and synthetic data strategies.
• Experiment with NLP and computer vision techniques and translate research into product features.
• Optimise models for accuracy and scalability in cloud-based production environments.
• Support model deployment and monitoring with engineering teams.
