Job summary

Padlet is hiring a Software Engineer (Security) to own security across the product, network, and infrastructure. You will lead the security defences, harden cloud posture, and drive the SOC 2 program with an automation platform.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping software at scale.
• Hands-on with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar audits.
• Familiarity with AI tools in security workflows.
• Ability to design and implement security controls across product, network and infra.

Responsibilities

• Own application security: implement controls in the product including auth hardening, rate limiting, bot mitigation, signup abuse prevention, injection and CSRF defenses, secrets management, supply chain hygiene.
• Own network and infrastructure security: set WAF rules, TLS posture, network segmentation, DDoS mitigation, cloud IAM, key management.
• Own compliance: run our compliance program via automation platform—control mapping, evidence collection, policy drafting, auditor questions.
• Use AI to audit and improve code: leverage Claude Code, AI-powered SAST tools, and custom agents to scan codebase for vulnerabilities and draft fixes.
• Run incident response and remediation: triage findings, coordinate responders during live incidents, run post-mortems.
• Run the security awareness program: organize training, tabletop exercises, and internal communications.
