Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking an Assistant Director to architect and oversee the GAIMx Generative AI platform within SingHealth's AI in Medicine Institute. You will guide cloud-based, secure AI development across AWS/Azure/GCP, aligning with clinical outcomes and regulatory standards.

You will lead internal and external engineering teams, collaborate with clinicians and compliance, and shape SOPs, solution specs, and reusable AI components while ensuring high availability and data

Qualifications

15+ years in IT/Software architecture
5+ years in healthcare technology
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards
Experience with cloud platforms and security standards
Familiarity with clinical informatics systems and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

Design and oversee GAIMx technical architecture
Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers and data scientists
Establish secure, scalable cloud-based solutions across platforms
Ensure interoperability with healthcare systems and compliance with HIPAA/PDPA/ISO 27001
Implement AI safety guardrails and responsible AI practices
