Job summary

Mercor is hiring experienced music producers and audio engineers to evaluate generative music AI models, in partnership with a leading AI lab.

You will assess AI-generated music across genres and rate it against detailed quality standards, working in Telugu and English. Start date is immediate with a project duration up to 6 months; most experts work around 20 hours per week.

Applicants should bring 2+ years of relevant experience and access to quality headphones or studio monitors.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Telugu and the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening

Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy
