Job summary

Seagate Technology's Seagate Research Group (SRG) in Singapore invites a semester-long internship for students in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or AI-related fields.

You will work with senior engineers on AI/ML design, machine learning surrogates, and data-driven optimization for HDD technologies, storage systems, and related areas. This paid internship runs Jan–May/Aug.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical foundation and ML/DL knowledge.
• Experience with Python and ML frameworks is preferred.
• Familiar with reinforcement learning concepts and AI trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist AI/ML design and optimization projects under guidance.
• Support physics-based simulation and surrogate modelling tasks.
• Contribute to ML surrogates for nanoscale materials исследования.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on storage-related AI solutions.
• Prepare results and present findings to the team.
