Firmus Technologies is seeking a skilled Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineer to lead the design and deployment of AI infrastructure networks. The role focuses on architecting enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN, ensuring security, high availability, and cloud connectivity across data centres and customer sites.

Key responsibilities include IaC-driven automation, CI/CD for network changes, firewall and policy enforcement, and proactive monitoring.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on AI infrastructure.
Experience in Linux systems especially host network configuration.
Strong project management skills and experience in complex technical projects.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to undertake international and/or domestic travel for on-site deployments and commissioning.

Mansioni

Architect, deploy, support the corporate LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure.
Ensure high availability, performance and security of on-premise and cloud-connected network services.
Develop and maintain automated network configurations using IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Netbox, Python scripts).
Implement CI/CD pipelines for network changes to improve speed, consistency, and auditability.
Automate routine tasks such as provisioning, backups and compliance checks.
Implement and manage firewall and security devices; apply VLAN segmentation and zero-trust principles.
Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to enforce policies and respond to incidents.
Respond to network issues, outages and performance degradations; analyze logs and coordinate with vendors.
Maintain monitoring tools and observability to identify bottlenecks and anomalies.
Drive network design for AI cluster deployments and coordinate with various internal teams.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain technical documentation.
Travel for on-site deployments and commissioning as needed.
