Job summary

Huawei, a world-renowned ICT leader, seeks an Advanced Engineer for High-Efficiency AI Computing in Singapore. You will bridge algorithmic innovation and silicon design to push low-precision and sparse computing on our next-generation AI accelerators.

You will lead kernel architecture, hardware-software co-design, and collaborate with IC design teams to deliver scalable, energy-efficient AI inference solutions for large-scale models.

Qualifications

• PhD in a highly technical field.
• Deep knowledge in computer architecture, esp. GPU/NPU microarchitecture.
• Expertise in low-precision quantization and sparsity.
• Proven impact in inference optimization for LLMs or multimodal models.
• Hands-on high-performance kernel development experience.
• System-level architectural design for AI inference accelerators.
• Strong publication record in top architecture/AI conferences (ISCA, MICRO, HPCA, ASPLOS, NeurIPS, CVPR).
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead algorithmic research into optimal quantization for low-precision data formats.
• Architect and deploy high-performance kernels for low-precision and sparse computing.
• Drive hardware-software co-design to improve energy efficiency and throughput.
• Collaborate with IC design teams to deliver specifications, benchmarks, and patent ideas.
