Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/AI/Engineering/OR.
• 1+ years of experience in ML engineering, data engineering or software engineering with production exposure.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with experience on at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building APIs or services and writing tests.

Responsibilities

• Build modular, production-ready code deployable on AWS, GCP, Azure or on-premises.
• Translate retail and supply chain requirements into reusable software components.
• Integrate ML models (e.g., forecasting, inventory optimisation) into robust services, APIs and data pipelines.
• Apply MLOps and DevOps practices including CI/CD, testing, monitoring and code review.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers and client-facing teams to deliver solutions for multiple retail clients.

About the Company

Our client is a Singapore-headquartered retail AI company with operations across Southeast Asia. It builds AI products that help large retailers manage inventory, shelf execution and warehouse operations, and works with major retail and distribution groups in the region.

About the Role

You will help turn forecasting, optimisation and computer vision models into reliable, production‑grade software that runs on the cloud or at client sites. This is an engineering‑focused role. The work centres on classical machine learning, and you will report directly to the Tech Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Build modular, production‑ready code that can be deployed on AWS, GCP, Azure or on‑premises.
• Turn retail and supply chain business requirements into reusable software components.
• Integrate ML models, such as demand forecasting and inventory optimisation, into robust services, APIs and data pipelines.
• Apply MLOps and DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, testing, monitoring and code review.
• Work closely with data scientists, engineers and client‑facing teams to deliver solutions across multiple retail clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Operations Research or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in ML engineering, data engineering or software engineering, with exposure to production systems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building APIs or services, and writing tests.

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes, Terraform or other infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Workflow tools such as Airflow, Prefect or Ray, and reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Experience with forecasting, inventory optimisation, supply chain or computer vision.
• Experience in retail, logistics or warehouse environments.
• Experience deploying software in both cloud and on‑premises environments.
