Job summary

The candidate will design, implement, and evaluate AI systems, including RAG pipelines and agent frameworks, working in a fast-paced tech environment with cross-border payments and compliance workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field with relevant production AI experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in production AI application engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Python or Java and microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered applications including Agent workflows, intelligent Q&A systems, automated reporting, and process automation assistants
• Design and implement RAG systems—chunking strategies, embedding management, vector DB integration, retrieval optimisation
• Build AI Agents with tool calling and function calling to orchestrate multi-step business processes
• Encapsulate AI capabilities as versioned, reusable APIs and microservices following microservice design principles
• Design AI application architecture with service-oriented, modular, multi-tenant characteristics for productisation
• Build automated evaluation, monitoring, and alerting systems to track model performance (accuracy, latency, cost)

What you will be doing

• Build LLM-powered applications including Agent workflows, intelligent Q&A systems, automated reporting, and process automation assistants
• Design and implement RAG systems — chunking strategies, embedding management, vector database integration, and retrieval optimisation
• Build AI Agents with tool calling and function calling capabilities to orchestrate complex multi-step business processes such as merchant onboarding, document verification, and compliance filing
• Encapsulate AI capabilities as versioned, reusable APIs and microservices following microservice design principles
• Design AI application architecture with service-oriented, modular, and multi-tenant characteristics to support productisation across business lines
• Build automated evaluation, monitoring, and alerting systems to continuously track model performance across accuracy, latency, and cost

What we are looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field; 3+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in production AI application engineering
• Proficient in Python or Java with solid hands-on experience in microservice architecture, MySQL, Redis, and message queues
• Deep working knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG architecture, Agent frameworks, and Function Calling / Tool Use
• Strong system architecture design capability — able to design AI applications that are service-oriented, modular, multi-tenant, and production-ready
• Understanding of cross-border payments, financial risk control, anti-fraud, and compliance review workflows
