Ai Engineer - Junior | Singapore, SG

A leading technology organisation is seeking an AI Engineer with 3 + years of hands-on experience in AI solution development, particularly in AI solution design.

Your new role

In your new role as an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies.
2. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and accuracy.
3. Continuously iterate and refine retrieval augmented generation (RAG) methods and processes based on experimentation, analysis, and feedback. This will include embedding, chunking, loading, and search algorithm setup.
4. Experiment with different retrieval strategies, including information retrieval, nearest-neighbor searches, or knowledge graph-based retrievals, to augment generative AI models.
5. Algorithm Optimisation - Optimise and fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers, to understand requirements and deliver AI-driven solutions.
7. Present findings and insights to stakeholders and contribute to strategic decision-making.
8. Document AI models, algorithms, and processes thoroughly.
9. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.
10. Participate in Agile ceremonies with the team to execute on prioritised projects and features.
11. Implement automated testing and monitoring techniques to ensure the accuracy and reliability of AI systems.

What you'll need to succeed

1. 3 years of experience in AI Engineering.
2. Experience in building Restful APIs for AI models.
3. Experience in designing scalable AI Solutions.
4. Solid understanding of machine learning concepts (i.e. neural networks, optimisation algorithms, evaluation metrics).
5. Familiar with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
6. Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques, such as instruction design, template-based approaches, rule-based conditioning, or fine-tuning strategies.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
8. Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Additional programming languages such as TensorFlow, Pytorch, NLP, Node.js / TypeScript, C#, or Java.
10. Demonstrated experience in developing and refining prompts for generative AI models, preferably in creative or text generation domains.
