Job summary

Visa is seeking an applied AI engineer for the Business and Strategy Analytics team to build and run the AP leadership Agent, a full‑stack analytical agent enabling exploration, analysis, visualization, and explanation of financial data in natural language. You will write Python and SQL, work in a Node.js and React codebase, and own end‑to‑end workstreams with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a quantitative/technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–6 years creating analytical apps, data workflows, or AI products.
• Proven ability to deliver defined projects or workstreams independently.
• Strong production Python and SQL skills with testing and logging.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications and tool calling.
• Strong data analysis, data modelling, and validation against trusted sources.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the agent harness with goals, context, tools, and validation checks.
• Design workflows from data retrieval to SQL generation, validation, and visualization.
• Ensure production reliability with structured outputs, retries, and error handling.
• Develop and maintain the knowledge layer and trusted data for the agent.
• Develop Python services, APIs, and React/TypeScript interfaces.
• Collaborate with security, data, and product teams on governance and testing.
