Job summary

Unison Group is hiring an AI Developer to design and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows for manufacturing in Singapore. You will partner with PhD-level domain experts to translate complex processes into Azure-based AI solutions, spanning data ingestion to production deployment.

You will build RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, and end-to-end systems with a focus on security, governance, and scalable operations in a cutting-edge industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI (OpenAI, Foundry/ML, Cognitive Services).
• Experience building LLM-based apps and RAG systems.
• Ability to translate domain knowledge into working AI solutions.
• Strong analytical and process-mapping skills.
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel) and MLOps.

About the Role

We’re hiring an AI Developer to build AI agents and intelligent solutions at the intersection of technology and advanced manufacturing processes. This is a cross-domain role: you’ll partner closely with PhD-level domain experts to understand complex scientific and process challenges, map those processes, and translate them into AI-driven solutions built on the Azure AI stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and end-to-end solutions that solve problems spanning multiple technical and manufacturing domains.
• Work directly with domain PhDs and subject-matter experts to understand, document, and map complex processes.
• Translate scientific and process knowledge into structured workflows, models, and agentic systems.
• Develop and integrate solutions using Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning).
• Build RAG pipelines, orchestration workflows, and tool-calling agents grounded in domain knowledge.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize solutions in production with appropriate security and governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure AI ecosystem (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry / ML, Cognitive Services).
• Experience building LLM-based applications, AI agents, and RAG systems.
• Ability to interface with technical domain experts and translate specialized knowledge into working systems.
• Strong analytical and process-mapping skills; comfortable working across unfamiliar technical domains.
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel) and MLOps.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to advanced manufacturing or scientific/industrial process environments.
• Experience with industrial/IoT or time-series data.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AI Engineer Associate).
