Job summary

Kpler is seeking an Engineer II on its AI Enablement crew to build tools, agents, and integrations that scale AI across the company. You will own features from design through production, working with a senior engineer and lead to advance company-wide AI adoption.

The role is hands-on, focusing on building AI agents for internal teams, curating knowledge bases, and ensuring safe integration with company systems while maturing interfaces and tooling around them.

Qualifications

• Essential: 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience building/operating end-to-end production systems.
• Hands-on with LLMs (agents, automation) and production practices.
• Knowledge of system design, databases, and architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud infra and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration, user-centric mindset.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• LLM application development: model APIs, prompt engineering, RAG basics.
• API design and data integration across multiple systems.
• Database design and SQL, cloud services (AWS preferred), containers.

Responsibilities

• Build, tailor, and operate AI agents and assistants for internal functions end-to-end.
• Create and maintain knowledge-base pipelines for AI systems.
• Integrate AI with company tools through safe APIs and connectors.
• Apply security guardrails and responsible-AI practices.
• Build user-facing tooling and interfaces as needed.
• Instrument adoption, quality, and cost metrics for your work.
• Gather feedback and turn friction points into improvements.
• Keep systems reliable, observable, and maintainable; assist incident response.
• Provide documentation and runbooks for clarity on what was built.
• Contribute to shared AI engineering frameworks and practices.
