Job summary

JAC Recruitment seeks an AI Application Engineer to design, develop and implement enterprise AI solutions. You will drive end-to-end AI apps, collaborate with stakeholders, and build proofs-of-concept to show business value and technical feasibility.

The role requires hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and cloud-based development, including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and FastAPI/Flask. Singapore CBD location with enterprise clients in financial services and more.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, or related field.
• 3+ years in software engineering, AI/ML development, or related role.
• Strong experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and LLMs.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on with React, FastAPI, and/or Flask.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI search.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-driven applications using Generative AI and LLM tech.
• Develop scalable end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, and integrations.
• Design and implement agent-based AI solutions and multi-agent workflows.
• Integrate AI applications with enterprise data sources and services.
• Develop solutions leveraging RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI search.
• Ensure cloud-native architecture, security, scalability and best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging AI tech and propose innovative approaches.
• Partner with stakeholders to convert requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead workshops and solution design discussions; support lifecycle from discovery to deployment.
• Create prototypes and demos to validate AI use cases and architecture.

Overview Our client is looking for an AI Application Engineer to drive the design, development, and implementation of enterprise AI solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional with strong experience in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud-based application development. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end AI applications, collaborating with stakeholders to define use cases, and developing proof-of-concepts that demonstrate business value and technical feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Solution Engineering
  • Build and deploy AI-driven applications using Generative AI and LLM technologies.
  • Develop scalable end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
  • Design and implement agent-based AI solutions, including multi-agent workflows and intelligent automation capabilities.
  • Integrate AI applications with enterprise data sources, business platforms, and external services.
  • Develop solutions leveraging RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, and AI search technologies.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with cloud-native architecture best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches where relevant.
• Business & Technical Consulting
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and convert requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
  • Assess opportunities for AI adoption and propose suitable implementation strategies.
  • Lead workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution design discussions.
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle from discovery through deployment.
• Proof of Concept & Client Engagement
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate AI use cases and technical approaches.
  • Create demonstrations and showcase environments to support solution discussions.
  • Contribute to proposals and presentations by articulating solution benefits, architecture, and implementation methodology.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML development, or a related technical role.
• Strong experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as React, FastAPI, and/or Flask.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Prompt engineering
  • Embeddings
  • Vector databases and vector search
  • AI search solutions
• Experience working with AI agent frameworks, intelligent automation platforms, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI development frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Exposure to Azure OpenAI Services and enterprise AI solution development.
• Understanding of containerisation, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
