Position

Agronomist

Reporting to: Senior Agronomist

Working Location: 76 Sungei Tengah Road, Singapore 699926

Work week: 5.5 days

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement crop production plans, including sowing schedules, nutrient management, and pest/disease control.
  • Monitor crop growth, health, and yield, making timely recommendations for corrective action.
  • Diagnose and address plant nutrition deficiencies, diseases, and physiological disorders.
  • Establish and maintain crop production protocols, including seeding, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting.
  • Conduct trials to improve crop varieties, nutrient mixes, and growing methods.
  • Work closely with operations and R&D teams to implement best practices and new technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of crop performance, nutrient usage, and environmental parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, certifications, and sustainability requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to growers and production staff.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CEA, plant physiology, and agricultural technology.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Science, Crop Science, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of practical experience in crop management, agronomy, or related agricultural roles.
  • Knowledge of soil fertility, plant physiology, pest/disease management, and irrigation practices.
  • Familiarity with modern farming technologies (e.g., precision agriculture, greenhouse systems, hydroponics).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and observation skills.
  • Effective and strong communication skills to engage with farm operations teams and management.
  • Ability to work in outdoor farm environments under varying conditions.
