Job summary

Accenture Southeast Asia is recruiting a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to design and implement agentic systems for government and public sector clients. The role emphasizes hands-on development, governance, and scalable patterns across engagements, embedding with delivery teams and client sites.

You will specialize in agentic engineering using LLMs, build reusable accelerators, and lead governance for autonomy levels and human-in-the-loop checkpoints in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to work in client-facing, ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on experience developing agentic systems using LLMs, tool use, function calling, and multi-step reasoning.
• Highly proficient in Python, Java, React and/or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic systems (single and multi-agent) to automate key aspects of public service delivery
• Develop reference architectures, tools, and reusable patterns for agentic delivery in public sector, defense, and public safety contexts
• Create robust evaluation frameworks, observability tools, and guardrails for measurable, safe, reliable production
• Establish governance for autonomy levels, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and escalation protocols in regulated environments
• Select and integrate technologies for each use case (agent harnesses, IDE-based agents, cloud agents, orchestration frameworks)
• Coach delivery teams on agentic engineering best practices and contribute to capability maturity
