Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking aStaff Data Scientist for SMAI OISingapore to lead the design and deployment of agentic AI systems that autonomously plan, decide, and execute workflows across manufacturing planning, capacity optimization, and operations intelligence.

You will apply agent-based AI to capacity planning, production flow optimization, and scenario simulation, translating business requirements into structured optimization problems and AI-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, or Optimization / decision science, or Advanced analytics in operations/planning.
• Proven experience building production-grade AI or optimization solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design agent-based AI systems with multi-step reasoning and autonomous orchestration.
• Deliver Planning & Operations use cases like capacity planning and cycle time reduction.
• Integrate AI agents into SMAI platforms, data pipelines, and enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Data Eng, MLOps and Platform teams to translate domain knowledge into AI logic.
