Job Description

Scope:

Support the Branch in complying with Customs and other government agencies’ regulations.

  • Declare all different types of shipping permits.
  • Apply for Ordinary and Preferential Certification of Origin.
  • Coordinate with the respective departments on supporting documents required, ensuring all documents are in accordance and submitted timely to provide approved customs entry declarations with the help of pre-customs entry, checklist, Asia Customs SOP, and pre-alert database.
  • Attend to customs enquiries and secure permit approval.
  • Monitor and ensure all Cargo Manifest Declarations reports are submitted timely to Singapore Customs for both Import and Export permits transactions.
  • Create files and prepare billing invoices, ensuring data accuracy and timely billing to customers.
  • Generate essential customer or other reports as required.
  • Update Asia Customs SOP with customers’ requirements and expectations.
  • Adhere to compliance with Expeditors policy and expectations.
  • Maintain Branch procedures on customs entry declarations.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators within customer requirements and comply with Singapore Customs / Competent Authorities rules and regulations.
  • Perform internal audits for customs filing.

Work Schedule:

5 days’ work week with 1 off day and 1 rest day (Sunday) within a calendar week.

Roster 1: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (1-hour lunch) for 4 days.

Roster 2: 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm (1-hour dinner) for 4 days.

Roster 3: 2:00 pm – 11:30 pm (1-hour dinner) for 4 days.

Only those currently residing in Singapore or with Singapore residency are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Education with 2 years relevant experience.
  • Proficient in computer software applications including email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of Singapore Customs rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of related Competent Authorities regulations.
  • Experience using TradeNet system and declaring accurately in customs entry declarations.
  • Able to declare all types of customs entry declarations/permits.
