Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on automated systems, hydraulic circuits, electrical panels, mechanical assemblies, and instrumentation.
  • Lead or support on-site commissioning activities for new equipment and retrofits.
  • Handle field project coordination, including site assessments, customer liaison, planning of interventions, and reporting.
  • Analyze technical malfunctions using appropriate tools (PLC interfaces, multimeters, hydraulic testers, etc.).
  • Adjust and calibrate sensors, control loops, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Produce comprehensive technical service reports and feedback to internal engineering teams.
  • Provide remote or on-site troubleshooting support to customers as needed.
  • Maintain a strong safety mindset and compliance with maritime standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical Diploma or Degree in automation, electrical engineering, hydraulics, or mechanical engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains: automation systems (PLC programming/debugging), marine hydraulics, electric motors and drives, marine mechanical systems, instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature sensors).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and control logic diagrams.
  • Proven capacity to manage field service tasks autonomously, with a strong sense of initiative and customer focus.
  • Familiarity with marine environments and onboard operations is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally (sometimes on short notice).
  • Valid passport and driver’s license required.
