Job Description

Childhood Builder After School Centre attends to children aged 7 to 12 years (Primary 1 – 6) after they are dismissed from primary school.

During primary school operation, the after school facilitator works part-time from 1.00 – 7.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. During school closures in March, June, September, November, December, as well as PSLE marking days, the facilitator will work full-time from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. or 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The facilitator supervises homework assigned by primary school teachers and conducts age-appropriate assessments, indoor activities, and play after school.

They are also responsible for conducting outdoor activities, planning excursions, and organizing indoor activities during school holidays.

The safety, health, and hygiene of the children must be maintained at all times.

Job Requirements
  • Attain at least a GCE ‘O’ level certification with a minimum of 5 ‘O’ level credits, including English.
  • Be able to facilitate children aged 7 to 12 in four subjects aligned with the MOE syllabus.
  • Be familiar with the revised syllabus emphasizing conceptual understanding, skill proficiency, and thinking skills, especially in mathematical problem-solving, reasoning, applications, and technology use.
  • Be familiar with the Science Curriculum Framework promoting scientific inquiry.
  • Be capable of planning indoor/outdoor activities and excursions during school holidays, involving working with children.
