Childhood Builder After School Centre

Attends to children aged 7 – 12 years old (Primary 1 – 6) after they are dismissed from their respective primary schools.

During primary school operation, the after school facilitator is required to work part-time from 1.00 – 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. During primary school closures in March, June, September, November, and December, as well as PSLE marking days, the after school facilitator will be required to work full-time from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. or 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The after school facilitator is required to supervise homework assigned by primary school teachers and assign age-appropriate assessments and indoor activities/play after school work. They will also be required to conduct outdoor activities and plan excursions and indoor activities for the after school children during school holidays.

The safety, health, and hygiene of the after school children must be maintained at all times.

Job Requirements

Candidates must/should attain:

1. At least a GCE ‘O’ level certification with a minimum of 5 ‘O’ level credits including English.

Candidates must/should:

1. Be able to facilitate children from 7 to 12 years old in four subjects that closely follow the syllabus by the Ministry of Education (MOE).
2. Be familiar with the revised syllabus, which emphasizes conceptual understanding, skill proficiencies, and thinking skills integral to the development of mathematical problem-solving ability, reasoning, applications, and use of technology.
3. Be familiar with the Science Curriculum Framework, which inculcates the spirit of scientific inquiry.
4. Be able to plan indoor/outdoor activities/excursions during school term holidays and involve working with the children.
