Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking an aerospace engineer to develop and implement repair processes for aero-engine components in a demanding MRO environment. You will create and maintain repair instructions, design tooling, and ensure compliance with OEM data and regulations.

You will lead qualification activities, drive process improvements, prepare FAI reports, and provide dispositions to the Operations team. Collaboration across functions and adherence to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in aerospace repair and overhaul (MRO).
• Knowledge of aerospace repair processes (e.g., TIG/EBW welding, thermal spray, heat treatment, brazing, water jet stripping, chemical cleaning, shot peening, machining).
• Proactive, motivated, and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new repair processes for aero-engine components.
• Create and maintain repair work instructions and technical documentation.
• Design and develop tooling and fixtures.
• Ensure repairs comply with OEM technical data and regulatory standards.
• Lead machine and process qualification activities.
• Drive process improvements to enhance robustness, efficiency, and repair yield.
• Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
• Provide technical recommendations and dispositions to the Operations team.
• Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle other engineering tasks as assigned.
• Follow all health and safety requirements.
