Job summary

ALWAYSHIRED PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize aerospace engine and component overhaul processes, ensuring quality, safety, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline with focus on manufacturing.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or MRO is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize manufacturing and repair processes for aerospace engine/component overhaul operations.
• Serve as the technical authority for assigned production areas, ensuring manufacturing methods consistently meet quality, safety, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Investigate and resolve complex manufacturing and process-related issues involving machining, welding, coating, balancing, inspection, and component repair.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, production readiness, and implementation of new manufacturing capabilities.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation, technical work instructions, tooling, and process standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to improve operational performance.
• Support quality investigations, process capability studies, FAIR, MSA, and compliance with aerospace industry standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft engine MRO, precision machining, or component repair engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, coating, inspection, or precision repair.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality systems such as NADCAP, FAIR, MSA, or equivalent manufacturing quality standards is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
