Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Handfinisher to join the onsite manufacturing team in Singapore. You will perform deburring, polishing, blending, and hand finishing on aerospace components in accordance with MOt, drawings, and work instructions.

Requires at least 2 years of experience with polishing and deburring, ability to read basic drawings, and familiarity with hand tools. Willingness to work overtime and support morning shift when required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of polishing, deburring, blending, or hand finishing experience, preferably in aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience in mechanical trade or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools and polishing equipment is essential.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow basic technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
• Basic SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
• Understanding of 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform deburring, polishing, blending, and hand finishing activities on aerospace components before and after machining operations in accordance with Manufacturing Operations & Tooling (M.O.T), engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Interpret basic technical manuals, drawings, and process instructions to ensure work is carried out according to specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure all deburring and finishing work meets required dimensional, cosmetic, and quality requirements stated in technical documents and process standards.
• Operate and support processes involving equipment such as sand blasting, lapping, drilling, tumbling, cleaning systems (including vapor degreaser), and other finishing equipment as required.
• Use hand tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively, including handheld grinders, polishing tools, engraving pens, and precision finishing tools.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure finished parts meet customer and aerospace quality requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and adhere to 5S, TPM, safety, and quality standards within the work area.
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen), productivity enhancement, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Accurately complete production documentation and comply with operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Machinists, Quality Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supervisors to resolve workmanship or quality concerns.
