Job summary

Aurora Asia in East Singapore is seeking a CNC VTL Machinist to operate and set up CNC VTL machines, interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions to manufacture precision aerospace components.

You will perform tool setting, alignments, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, monitor processes, and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC VTL or CNC turning machines.
• Experience in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines to manufacture precision components.
• Set up and operate CNC VTL machines according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and machining specifications.
• Perform machine setup, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues.
• Ensure all finished components meet required quality and aerospace standards.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Complete production records and documentation as required.
