The domain expert will guide to strengthen GIFT City’s positioning as a globally competitive financial and smart urban ecosystem, benchmarked against leading hubs like London, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in one or more of:
- Urban Planning / City & Regional Planning
- Urban Design / Architecture
- Infrastructure Planning / Civil Engineering
Degrees from globally respected institutions preferred for global exposure.
Experience
- 25+ years in urban development and master planning
- Led or co-led large-scale city projects (new cities, financial districts, smart cities)
- Direct involvement in Greenfield city/Financial Hubs development
Key Areas of Expertise & Responsibilities
- Integrated Master Planning
- Provide strategic inputs on integrated land use planning, aligning transport networks, utility infrastructure, and economic zoning frameworks.
- Advise on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) models to enhance urban efficiency and accessibility.
- Support planning and optimization of high-density, mixed-use financial districts, in line with global best practices.
2. Smart & Digital Cities
- Guide development and implementation of ICT infrastructure, digital platforms, and data-driven urban governance frameworks.
- Provide advisory on adoption of AI-enabled smart city solutions for efficient service delivery and city management.
- Leverage experience from leading global smart cities (e.g., Singapore, Dubai) to benchmark and enhance GIFT City initiatives.
3. Sustainability & Resilience
- Advise on net-zero and climate-resilient urban planning strategies, aligned with global sustainability goals.
- Provide guidance on obtaining and implementing green building and urban certifications such as LEED, WELL, BREEAM, etc.
- Support integration of ESG principles into infrastructure and urban development projects.
4. Infrastructure & Mobility
- Provide strategic inputs on planning and integration of multi-modal transport systems, including metro connectivity, airports, and last-mile solutions.
- Advise on utility infrastructure planning, including power, water supply, waste management, and district cooling systems.
- Support development of scalable and future-ready urban infrastructure frameworks.
- Provide strategic advisory notes, concept frameworks, and policy inputs as required.
- Participate in high-level meetings, reviews, and stakeholder consultations.
- Support the Company in benchmarking, planning, and implementation guidance for key initiatives.
- The scope of work may be modified from time to time based on organizational priorities.
General Terms
- This position will report to Managing Director & Group CEO.
- The engagement shall be on a full-time retainership basis for a fixed tenure (initially 2-yrs), extendable based on requirement and performance.
- Compensation shall be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
