Position Statement

The Administrative Executive for Business Development coordinates negotiations, Letters of Agreement, secretarial support, hotel inspections, and other projects under the guidance of the Catering Sales Manager and Events Servicing Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Handle correspondence for Sales Managers.
  2. Assist with typing and filing proposals, Letters of Agreement, banquet orders, resumes, thank you letters, and post-event summaries.
  3. Distribute correspondence to relevant departments.
  4. Maintain filing and trace systems.
  5. Ensure the department's tidiness and stock of office supplies.
  6. Be aware of event details for assigned accounts.
  7. Coordinate with other departments for event logistics.
  8. Maintain understanding of client accounts.
  9. Respond to sales inquiries and guest requests.
  10. Update group charts and prepare reports.
  11. Conduct site inspections if needed.
  12. Send post-event critique forms and thank you letters.
  13. Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  14. Maintain professionalism and a hospitable attitude at all times.
Qualifications
  • University degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role at an international hotel chain.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
  • Knowledge of the local market and marketing trends.
