The EDC branch office in Singapore serves as a hub for the Asia Pacific region. The branch allows us to support our Asia Pacific and Canadian customers more effectively as they go, grow and succeed internationally.
Overview
The EDC IMPACT- Indo-Pacific team, is looking for a highly motivated regional coordinator who will support the day-to-day operation of EDC’s Singapore Branch as well as EDC’s activities in the Indo-Pacific region. The successful candidate will be working from EDC’s Singapore office.
Discipline Summary
- Support general business operations by providing various administrative support activities as a generalist and/or not limited to budgeting, event coordination, and logistics and travel arrangements.
- Provide administrative support to the staff within the Singapore Branch.
- Use business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, or perform data entry.
- Arrange business travel, coordinate meeting arrangements, and/or track expenses.
- Identifies, enhances, and follows specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of office work flows to which the support is being provided.
- Upkeep of records and filing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage calendar proactively, taking charge of daily and ongoing planning to ensure the effective use of time of the, including protecting time for key meeting and document preparation. Forward thinking
- Manage the Managing Director’s inbox while maintaining absolute discretion and attention to confidentiality
- Set up meetings, and organizing events, including ownership of logistics (for example, owning agenda, collect/distribute meeting materials ahead of meetings). Support operational, strategic and planning sessions for the team
- Prepare the Managing Director for all Executive and Board meetings, ensuring that relevant materials are ready for review in advance
- The incumbent would need to coordinate & collect Board required information from all parts of the organization and be able to standardize the formatting for distribution
- Ensure that all compliance reporting is completed in a timely manner
- Responsible for coordinating timely, safe and efficient transportation, security and other related services during EDC Executives and/or Board of Directors visits.
- Follow-up on correspondence and requests for information
- Develop and produce reports as required
- Manage budget reports and forecasts
- Display complete discretion with respect to handling sensitive or confidential matters
- Works closely with other EDC representations in the Asia Pacific region to ensure consistent and effective administrative procedures
- Organize travel arrangements with the ability to be proactive on travel changes and maintain continued support to the Managing Director while travelling
- Work independently, make decisions confidently and timely
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years of administrative / clerical experience with strong customer relations skills
- College or post-secondary training/degree in administration.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English are required.
- Experience supporting senior executives
- Solid knowledge in the operation of computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and other related programs)
- Solid experience with budget processes and the monitoring of budgets
Assets
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French).
- Proficiency in a second language such as Bahasa or other Southeast Asian languages will be an added advantage.
- Experience using social media is a strong asset

Salary Range
- SGD $48,750 - $65,600 plus a performance-based incentive
