A healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking an individual to manage referrals, schedule appointments, and perform various administrative duties. Applicants with a Certificate in Healthcare Support are preferred, along with a client-oriented approach. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work in a geriatric setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a geriatric setup or long-term care will be an advantage.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To receive referrals from referral source(s) and prepare them for screening by the Rehab Lead/ Centre Lead/Nurse
  • To schedule appointments for initial assessment, financial counselling and regular therapy sessions
  • To perform counselling explaining to clients and/ or their next of kin regarding the contract of service
  • To conduct means testing for patients if required
  • To prepare and maintain order of case notes for new admissions and for scheduled therapy sessions
  • To process admission and discharge of clients
  • To enter client’s attendance into the EMR daily and update the system as necessary
  • To liaise with Operations & Facilities Management (OFM) personnel for transport arrangement for clients if required
  • To liaise with the Business Office or Finance personnel for billing matters
  • To update the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) website; EMR and Transport Call Centre (TCC) system as and when necessary
  • To perform reception duties, including responding to phone calls and attending to general enquiries
  • Carry out other tasks/ projects assigned by the Centre Lead
  • To communicate to clients/ next of kin and staff in a professional manner
  • Communication should reflect consideration of socio-cultural values of the patient, family and significant others
  • To maintain absolute confidentiality in matters pertaining to the organization/departmental/clients. Confidentiality of the clients’ records is to be always maintained to maintain privacy of the clients
  • Takes responsibility for own learning
  • Participates in staff meetings and hospital initiatives
  • To liaise with external services, statutory bodies and other VWOs as appropriate
Job Requirements
  • Certificate in Healthcare Support (Administration) or equivalent is desirable
  • Working in a geriatric set up, long term care or nursing home set up will be an advantage but not necessary
  • Service-oriented with client fronting experience
  • Meticulous in administrative duties
