The Singapore Scout Association

The Singapore Scout Association was established in 1910 with the mission of educating young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Scout Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

By always doing their best in whatever they do, Scouts use the outdoors as the platform for learning and development. Together with an established system of programmes that not only develops youths, but also many of the adult leaders that support our youth programmes, Scouts all over the world see learning and improving as an essential ongoing process that never ends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake administrative matters of 2 geographical Scout Unit Areas.
  2. Perform front-line customer service tasks such as answering enquiries and following up with email correspondences.
  3. Coordinate, receive and monitor applications for courses, projects and activities at the Area level.
  4. Prepare claims submission documents for courses, activities, and events and monitor related expenditure.
  5. Source vendors in accordance with the needs of related courses, projects, events and activities at Area or National level in accordance with assigned budget and prepare Call for Quotations where necessary.
  6. Support in the coordination and administration (distribution & collection) of fundraising related activities.
  7. Assist in organizing Area and National level events as needed.
  8. Prepare and disseminate circulars & documents for Areas and at the National level.
  9. Manage/update records of members and troubleshoot in the Areas using the Association's Membership Data Management System (MSDS).
  10. Monitor and update office supplies and inventories.
  11. Submit monthly reports and any other duties assigned by the Area Commissioners or Executive Director.

Desirable Attributes & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience in relevant fields.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a positive mindset.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google applications.
  • Demonstrates initiative and is meticulous.
  • Physically active and interested in outdoor activities.
  • A team player.
  • Able to work Tuesday to Saturday (9.00am - 6.30pm)
