Job Title: Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Xero Proficient)

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant with strong experience using Xero accounting software. This role supports the day-to-day administrative and bookkeeping functions of our business, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage data entry and maintain accurate financial records using Xero
  • Reconcile bank transactions and process accounts payable/receivable
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients
  • Assist with payroll and superannuation processing (if applicable)
  • Maintain digital filing systems and organize administrative documents
  • Support the team with general admin tasks as needed
  • Monitor email inbox and respond to client/admin inquiries
  • Assist with reporting and compliance tasks (e.g., BAS, GST, or tax prep support)
Requirements:
  • Proven experience using Xero accounting software (minimum 1–2 years)
  • Prior experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience working with small businesses or startups
  • Knowledge of Australian accounting/tax systems (or relevant to your location)
