Job Title: Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Xero Proficient)
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant with strong experience using Xero accounting software. This role supports the day-to-day administrative and bookkeeping functions of our business, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data entry and maintain accurate financial records using Xero
- Reconcile bank transactions and process accounts payable/receivable
- Prepare and send invoices to clients
- Assist with payroll and superannuation processing (if applicable)
- Maintain digital filing systems and organize administrative documents
- Support the team with general admin tasks as needed
- Monitor email inbox and respond to client/admin inquiries
- Assist with reporting and compliance tasks (e.g., BAS, GST, or tax prep support)
Requirements:
- Proven experience using Xero accounting software (minimum 1–2 years)
- Prior experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience working with small businesses or startups
- Knowledge of Australian accounting/tax systems (or relevant to your location)
