Job summary

A leading compliance firm in Singapore seeks a compliance officer to manage application processing, stakeholder engagement, and ensure adherence to food safety regulations. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Food Science or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include advising clients on guidelines, conducting audits, and maintaining high-quality assessments against regulatory standards. Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Application Processing
    • Process new applications, revised artwork, package sizes, and advertising materials within 25 working days.
    • Assess nutrient info, artwork, logo usage, and compliance with HPB & SFA regulations.
  2. Guidance & Support
    • Advise companies on HCS guidelines, labelling, claims, and system usage.
    • Support companies during guideline changes.
  3. Review & Communication
    • Follow HPB’s multi-tier review system, identify issues, and communicate amendments.
  4. Reporting
    • Submit monthly HCS reports and product lists within 3 working days after month‑end.
  5. Annual Product Review
    • Guide companies through compliance review, follow up with ~20 non‑compliant companies.
  6. Audits
    • Manage Nutrient Verification (400‑450 products/year), Market Surveillance (1,400 products/year), Close‑the‑Loop (150 products/year), and ad‑hoc checks (100‑200 products/year).
    • Verify compliance, liaise with labs, purchase samples if needed.
  7. Data Management
    • Maintain accurate databases, update info, validate data, support system transitions.
  8. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Liaise with companies, HPB, labs, and partners on applications and audits.
  9. Compliance & Quality
    • Ensure work meets HCS guidelines, HPB policies, SFA regulations, and SOPs. Maintain high‑quality assessments.
Educational Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition, Food Science and Technology, or Nutrition/Dietetics.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Training: Preferably, each personnel has completed the WSQ Food Labelling Good Practices course.
