Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a role focused on sourcing and purchasing within the metalwork fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of GCE qualifications and at least two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing purchase orders, checking invoices, and managing proper documentation. This position offers a structured workweek and is based at Seletar.

Qualifications

• Min GCE ‘N’/’O’ Level / NITEC / Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years relevant experience in metalwork fabrication industry.
• Able to operate MRP system.

• Source & purchase equipment, spare parts, materials, and contractors.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To source & purchase of equipment, spare parts, materials (such as for steel fabrications & installation) & sourcing of contractors for services

• To obtain for quotations & preparation of purchase orders

• To check invoices & delivery orders before processing for HOD’s approval.

• Proper documentations & records on relevant information

• Perform Goods Receipt Note (GRN) on MRP system.

• Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Min GCE ‘N’/’O’ Level / NITEC / Diploma or its equivalent

• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferably with material sourcingin metalwork fabrication industry

• Able to operate MRP system

• Computer skills in Microsoft Office & able to operate MRP system

• Good negotiation skill will be an added advantage

Working hours : Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 6.00 pm)

Working location : Seletar
