A leading company in industrial automation is seeking a Purchasing/Inventory Manager to oversee procurement processes and inventory management. The successful candidate will manage purchasing documents and negotiate with suppliers, alongside performing sales administrative duties. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and UBS, as well as Mandarin, is essential for interactions with clients.

Job description

Responsibilities [Purchasing/Inventory]

Procurement (50%)

  • Manage purchase requisition, quote and purchase order documents.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with Sales/Production teams to align procurement needs.

Inventory Management (40%)

  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records, ensuring accurate data entry in our inventory management system.
  • Monitor daily stock movement.
  • Perform regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Handle incoming shipment to get feedback from storeman if there is any quality/quantity issues.

Sales admin (10%)

  • Handle customer enquiries and correspondences (walk in & email)
  • Issue invoice, delivery order.
  • Process work order - issue cutting advice to production.
  • Assist customer query and prepare sales quotation.
  • General administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office/UBS.
  • Good initiative, ability to work independently & able to take instructions efficiently.
  • Good team-player & interpersonal skills.
  • Able to commit 5.5days work week during probation period. Alternate Saturdays off will be provided upon confirmation
  • Proficient in Mandarin to speak with Mandarin speaking clients
