Job summary

sggovterp, School of Informatics & IT, seeks an Adjunct Lecturer (Information Technology) to deliver engaging face-to-face and online lessons to diploma students during scheduled teaching hours. You will facilitate labs, assess work with timely feedback, monitor progress, and mentor learners in industry-relevant technical skills.

Collaboration with fellow lecturers aims to enhance curriculum delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in software development, DevOps or related roles.
• Proficiency in Full-Stack Web Development with JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with React.js, Node.js, RESTful APIs and SQL relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging face-to-face and/or online lessons to diploma students during scheduled teaching hours.
• Facilitate practical learning activities, labs and project-based assignments.
• Assess assignments, projects and tests with timely, constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Mentor students in industry-relevant technical and professional skills.
• Collaborate with lecturers and subject teams to support curriculum delivery and continuous improvement.
