Actuarial Data Intern: Build South Asia Database & Insights

Job summary

SCOR is looking for an Actuarial Intern to join the South Asia Business Data team in Singapore. You will work with actuaries, data engineers and accountants to build database solutions, standardize and validate data, and derive insights for South Asia markets.

You will help manage data flow, support data initiatives and collaborate with multiple departments to deliver value-added services for technical accounting and experience analysis.

Qualifications

• Previous internship in data or actuarial field not required but advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong data management and programming skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, preferably with hands-on experience in university or work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong analytical skills and numeric sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Support the formation of database solution and data pipeline for South Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and India)
• Design and refine modules to process bordereaux data, including standardization, cleansing and validation
• Draw preliminary insights from the data and perform necessary data transformations
• Communicate any identified data issues with various internal stakeholders
• Streamline the data flow from central database to other tools / platforms for the purpose of technical accounting and experience analysis
• Provide support on value-add services and data initiatives via collaboration with other departments
