In any marketing automation environment, there is the stakeholder who owns the strategy and the message and there is the production lead/team, who owns the execution. At our client, there is a role in between who serves to translate the strategic needs into the production directives. The Activation Manager is part Production, part project manager, part strategic partner.
A successful Activation Manager has deep marketing automation experience and is Marketo certified, as pressure testing and QAing are a part of the role, but most of the role is performing as a liaison between stakeholders so that the production team can focus on campaign success. The right person for this role loves to problem solve, is highly organized, patient, and clever. The candidates who have done best in this role have been both the marketing stakeholder and the production lead in past lives and are sensitive to the needs of each, have a kind and reassuring demeanor, and the skills to be a trusted point of contact for the client.
Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Marketing Automation
Execution: Working directly with key stakeholders, it will be crucial to understand the requirements for success. You will be consultative and act as a conduit to manage effective, organized and on-time campaign launches. You will proactively manage and guide campaigns through the production process. You will work cross-functionally, including partnering with other vendors, in the production of campaigns and launches, while performing proofing and performance quality assurance on work products. You must manage tight deadlines and turn around times while ensuring clear and concise communication throughout the process.
Advisor: We are a consultative services organization. Our team members function as trusted marketing automation advisors to our clients and are relied upon to identify areas of improvement and optimization.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
4+ years of post-graduate, professional experience in a marketing
2-3 years of marketo experience with Marketo certification required
2-3 years of Salesforce experience
Experience working with enterprise companies
Excellent written and verbal ENGLISH communication skills. Effectively communicate, and demonstrate confidence and emotional intelligence to team members and leadership, in the organization and with our clients.
Must be able to work in an assigned client office location.
Strong history of building relationships across organizations and clientele with a diplomatic, solutions-oriented approach to decision-making and communication

Experience with nurture campaigns and running multi-nurturing campaigns.
