Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections to support strategic planning.

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and optimize profitability.

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including day-to-day financial operations.

  • Take ownership of Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all financial records, journal entries and transactions.

  • Oversee GST filing and ensure timely submission.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Lead and coordinate external audits, tax filing and regulatory submissions, including GST return.

  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as needed.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage, coach and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.

  • Collaborate closely with operations and other departments to align financial processes with business objectives.

  • Support new outlet openings and other business expansion activities.

Process improvement & Internal Controls

  • Drive continuous process improvements and strengthen internal controls.

  • Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.

  • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience including audit and tax reporting.

  • Experience in managing multiple entities and preferably working in F&B industry.

  • Prior experience in external audit is a strong advantage.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and local tax regulations.

  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, POS System and financial software (e.g. Oracle Netsuite, Infrasys, Megapos, Board, etc.).

  • Meticulous, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and all levels.

  • Proactive, hands-on and eager to tackle new challenges.

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).

  • Preferred candidates with short notice period.
