A leading restaurant chain in Singapore seeks a Finance Manager to oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5-8 years of experience, particularly in the F&B sector. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in English and Mandarin are essential for interaction with stakeholders. This role demands accuracy and attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections to support strategic planning.
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and optimize profitability.
Accounting & Financial Operations
Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including day-to-day financial operations.
Take ownership of Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions.
Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all financial records, journal entries and transactions.
Oversee GST filing and ensure timely submission.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Lead and coordinate external audits, tax filing and regulatory submissions, including GST return.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as needed.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Manage, coach and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
Collaborate closely with operations and other departments to align financial processes with business objectives.
Support new outlet openings and other business expansion activities.
Process improvement & Internal Controls
Drive continuous process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
5 – 8 years of relevant experience including audit and tax reporting.
Experience in managing multiple entities and preferably working in F&B industry.
Prior experience in external audit is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and local tax regulations.
Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, POS System and financial software (e.g. Oracle Netsuite, Infrasys, Megapos, Board, etc.).
Meticulous, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and all levels.
Proactive, hands-on and eager to tackle new challenges.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin (to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).
Preferred candidates with short notice period.
