The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for managing and processing incoming payments from travel partners, agencies, and customers. This role ensures timely collection, accurate reconciliation, and maintenance of AR records, supporting the financial health of Rakuten Travel Xchange in Singapore and the Global and APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record incoming payments from B2B clients (travel agencies, hotels etc) via various payment methods (bank transfer, credit card, online payment platforms).
  • Generate and distribute invoices to partners and customers in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Monitor accounts for overdue balances and proactively follow up with partners to ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve payment issues, chargebacks, and disputes in coordination with customer support and business teams.
  • Prepare AR aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate AR documentation and support internal/external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across the region as required.
  • Manage and lead the offshore team.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of AR or general accounting experience, preferably in travel, e-commerce, or online services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle,) and payment platforms.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
