Job summary

A leading company seeks a diligent Finance professional to manage revenue and debt, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections. This role involves significant financial reporting and compliance tasks, requiring strong analytical and communication skills. Candidates must have at least a diploma or degree in finance and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

Revenue Management

  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing based on signed student contracts.

  • Issue receipts for fees collected and make bank deposits.

  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations.

  • Manage student billing adjustments (late joiners, concessions, other fees).

  • Analyze monthly revenue and costs, review concessions, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards.

  • Reconcile student numbers with class lists weekly and update concessions.

  • Assist with fee refund compliance and related requirements.

Debtors Management

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments through calls, emails, and letters.

  • Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records and manage collections.

  • Identify overdue fees early and recommend actions to prevent defaults.

  • Track collection progress and document all follow-ups.

Monthly and Yearly Tasks

  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports and recurring entries.

  • Maintain schedules for profit & loss and balance sheet accounts.

  • Support quarterly GST, corporate tax, and withholding tax filings.

  • Assist in internal and statutory audits.

  • Support year-end budgeting and other ad hoc activities.

  • Help improve processes and complete tasks beyond regular hours when needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUM), experience with accounting software preferred.

  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and tax regulations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently or in a team.

  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to work late if needed.
