Job description

Job Title: Accounts Officer - Vessel Accounts


You will primarily focus on Accounts Payable (AP) functions and provide support to the Vessel Accountant in her reporting tasks.


Job Description & Requirements

  • Post AP invoices, journals and payments into vessel account system
  • In charge of monthly account closing of entities (as per assigned)
  • In charge of monthly AR billing and Vessel Operating Cost review (based on allocated vessels).
  • Perform vendors reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly payment cycle for vendors.
  • Attend to vendors on payment status and liaise with technical & operational team on vendor invoice issues.
  • Assist torespond to vessel owners' queries
  • Working fund request and calculations for deficit / surplus working fund
  • Complete the accounts in compliance with the owners’ requirements within time line
  • Other Ad hoc duties as per assigned by Finance Manager.

Requirements:

  • A diploma in Accountancy or currently pursuing ACCA/LCCI (or equivalent) certification.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' relevant working experience, with strong focus on vessel accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Vessel accounting experience is essential .
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Navision is advantageous.
  • Strong integrity, initiative, and a proactive, results-driven attitude.
  • High attention to detail and meticulous with data entry.
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Capable of multitasking and working independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Office location: Bugis.
