Job Summary:
The Accounts Officer/Executive is responsible for overseeing the company’s daily accounting activities, ensuring precise financial records, and contributing to efficient financial operations. This role involves maintaining general ledger entries, conducting financial reconciliations, managing fixed assets, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate general ledger.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, including those related to accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
  • Manage and process payables and receivables to ensure timely settlements and collections.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and promptly address any discrepancies.
  • Assist in compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of management reports and variance analyses.
  • Update and manage the fixed asset register, accurately recording additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure all asset management practices comply with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any variances identified.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and clarifications.
  • Help implement and monitor internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
